Description

This probably Royal Amulet holder of a typical baroque style and highly influenced by a Portuguese (barroco style jewellery) pendant or necklace.

The convex gilt silver case, on the top ornaments of welded filigree with fine quality Diamond settings.

The pendent is also a reminiscent of a European pocket watch.

The Amulet was probably used to contain some protective Quranic verses or Prayers (Doaa).

Please notice the almost identical applied leaves and the filigree silver work including the unusual double round scrolls or coils used in the decoration.

6 cm diam. across.
7 cm the dimension including the two chain rings in the shape of an elegant small hands.

Condition

Very good, the amulet chain is missing, the amulet silver backside cap of and old replacement, minor wear and tear to backside silver cap.
